A self portrait of David Weber.
Who is David Weber?
David is a photographer and journalist currently living in Commack, a town in the heart of Long Island, New York. His passion for photography began at just 11 years old, when his grandparents gave him a Kodak point-and-shoot camera for his birthday. After noticing his potential and creative eye, they got him his very first D-SLR, a Sony A-230. He has aded large format and 35mm film to his mediums of choice since then.
As a regular practice, David photographed the natural and artificial landscape in his hometown. During his time at Commack High School, David concentrated in photographic art and visual storytelling. He later attended SUNY Purchase to pursue a major in journalism with a minor in visual art.
Today, David actively searches the streets of New York, hoping to reveal what humans left behind for him to discover. He looks to many contemporary and classical photographers like Ansel Adams and Mary Ellen Mark for creative inspiration. His goal; to give a voice to the people and landscapes which felt the wrath of our own social behavior.
